Concept

The boats from Wasa Yachts have a unique combination of racing and family sailing; they are family sailors easy to handle as well as fast racers on the course. The interior is made of selected teak and mahogany and is traditional Swedish craftsmanship with focus on details as well as the complete boat.

All of our boats are CE-marked and classed for Ocean sailing category A. Both the construction and every detail in our boats therefore meet the high demands of security, manoeuvrability, speed and comfort. All equipment on our boats as engine, rigging and winches come from the leading manufactures in the world.

ONLY BUILT ON REQUEST

Every Wasa boat is built upon request. This gives the builder great possibilities to adjust equipment, fittings and interior to his needs. The work is done together with the constructer, the shipyard and within the limits that are set by the size of the boat and the CE-rules.

The designer of the Wasa boats is known for his fast designs and his emphasis on high quality. At Wasa Yachts we do our outmost to give our customer speedy sailing, great comfort, in short an experience beyond the usual. Thanks to high quality and good reputation it's good economy to own a Wasa boat.

SAILING PERFORMANCE
A light hull together with good weight distribution gives a boat that moves nice and easy in the sea. Even in rough weather our boats are said to bee safe. A fact the family often appreciates very much. A large sail area also ensures the speed under sail that our boats are well known of.

The basic concept in our boats is modern design, a strong, light and stiff hull in sandwich construction combined with the best in rigging and sails. We build boats that are easy to sail and manoeuvre even with a small crew; husband and wife easily handle them. A well-balanced rudder together with a short keel and a big mainsail gives a boat that is easy to handle by sail in the archipelago and in harbours where you are supposed to turn around on a penny.

WAY OF BUILDING
A Wasa boat is built without innerliners or plastmoduler. This way of building gives a boat that is easy to repair. It also ensures that future maintenance is easy to do, as all parts are possible to repair or change. An other thing that defines a Wasa boat is that the hull made in one part, which ensures a strong hull. The usual way of building boats with two separate halves that are laminated together is easy from production point of view but gives a seam along the whole length of the boat. The strength of the seam is pending on how well the lamination is done.
